Flossing is one of the most important weapons you can use against gum disease and bad breath. But unfortunately it is one of the most neglected practises.

Chew sugarless gum. Chewing gum encourages the production of saliva in the mouth, which helps wash away things like sugar and various acids from fast food and other food related bacteria.

 

Helpful Tips

1. Consider drinking soda from a straw to reduce sugar exposure and possible staining of the teeth.

2. After drinking soda, if you can't brush your teeth immediately then at least rinse your mouth out with water and wash away excess sugar.

3. Poor diet, especially during adolescent years, can lead to premature loss of tooth enamel, and have devastating effects on the structure of you teeth.
